1 topic + 1 location + 1 day + 16 audio creators = 1 audio walk
On 27 February 2026, 16 sound enthusiasts roamed the city centre of Bern with microphones and explored the world of ascents and descents – biographically, geographically, sociologically… and, in any case, artistically through sound.
Accompanied by the two SOUNDMARKERS Florian Hohnhorst and Ruben Kurschat, a collective audio walk was created – and performed at the SONOHR Festival on 28 February 2026 at 5.30 p.m. and on 1 March 2026 at 2 p.m.
Even audio walkers unable to attend the festival in Bern were invited to take part in the audio exploration. The starting point was the main door of any public building in an urban area, be it in London, Porto or Munich. All that was needed: a smartphone, headphones and the SIGNAL messenger app.
The audio walk consists of elements in English, French, Swiss German, Dutch, Italian and German.
